As you all are aware, because it has been on the national news for days, we were slammed with a very big, intense snowstorm on Tuesday and Wednesday. Now mind you, we were already hit last Saturday, and although the streets were clear, and a good amount of meltdown had occurred, we still had several inches of snow on the grounds around our neighborhood. Tuesday evening, around 7:30, the snow started to fall...and fall...and fall...and it didn't stop until Wednesday night around 9pm. It wasn't until Wednesday afternoon that we saw the blizzard take shape, with wind blowing, and hard snow coming down. Cars, trees, roads and sidewalks were covered in a matter of minutes! The seminary maintenance crews were out throughout the duration of the storm, trying to keep things semi-cleared. They work really hard out here, but they were no match for the intensity of this storm, at least in the heart of it. The first batch of pictures below are from Wednesday afternoon, when the storm really started blowing. And the bright, sunny pictures, were taken yesterday, on our morning walk. There were some serious snowmen, among other figures, around the neighborhood that we took pictures of. Enjoy!
These two pictures were taken at 3:00pm.
These two pictures were taken at 5:00pm, from the same view. Check out the difference on the trees from the first picture to this picture!
I apologize for the quality of this picture...it is taken from our bedroom window, so the screen distorts the picture just a bit. But if you look closely, you can see cars, including ours, under the mounds of snow!
Sooo pretty!!
Maddie was cut out of this picture accidentally...because she was in the backpack.
