Pumpkin Patch Fun

We returned to the Underwood Family Farms this year to pick our pumpkins, this time, with Grandma Marty, Grandpa Dale and Geoffrey!  It was a day filled with beautiful weather, wonderful company and way too many photo opportunities!

This girl would ride the train non-stop, if we let her.
So many beautiful sunflowers!

Geoffrey's first pony ride...he didn't last the whole time.  I think he made it around the circle twice, before panicking and giving us a look that said, "What, in your right mind were you thinking, putting me on this thing?!"
And unfortunately, our other child did not enjoy the ponies either, although she did stay on for the duration of the ride.  Last year, she was beaming...this year, she covered her ears.  It is her signal to us that she is afraid of something in her current situation.
The combine slide, on the other hand, was a smashing success, as Maddie kept climbing up and sliding down, even after we would tell her it was time to move to something else.
This is a fantastic picture and an unfortunate one as well.  Fantastic because Maddie's arms are out to "catch us" as we come down the slide; unfortunate because, well, look at my face!
Tractor driving!
I think they both got a kick out of this one.
:)
It would appear that I am mocking my daughter's desire to cover her ears when she feels uneasy about something...okay, so I really am doing that.  I think she actually appreciated my participation. :)
Little G, taking it all in.
What a lovely couple!
I'm not sure what stole Maddie's attention, but I was TOTALLY ready for this picture!
Maddie's pumpkin, which she picked out all by herself.

People tell me these 3 could be triplets, just years apart from each other.
Geoffrey was messing around in the pumpkin bin!  I don't know what he was thinking - probably something along the lines of, "Hey, Mom!  Check it out!  This would be a super cute picture, don't you think?"

Maddie desired to recreate this picture from last year.

  1. It was a fun day. The hottest day I have ever experienced for hunting pumpkins!
