Fun with Friends in the NW

We were blessed to be able to hang out with so many of our dearest friends over the break, I couldn't believe how well it all worked out!

I went to a baby shower for my sweet friend, Sarah, who is expecting her first baby on February 1st! My other sweet friend, Lori, is expecting her first baby in June! I love these two women so very much and it was awesome being able to see them over vacation. Here we are together at the shower, first time we've all been together since before Maddie was born!We also were able to get together again on a different day for lunch. Super fun!
We love to take pictures!Seriously, I really do love to take pictures, even if I've already taken some with the same people. :)We also got together with our good friends, Dan and Melissa, who were in town from Seattle. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring my camera and take pictures of our special time with them. We still love you guys!!

And finally, we spent a special evening with a large group of some of our very favorite people from our college years. It was perfect that we were all in the NW at the same time. We haven't all been together since our wedding, 6 years ago!
Brant lived in a house with 5 other men, his senior year at SPU. This house was very special, to both of us. We were dating as he joined this house, we became engaged while he lived in this house and all of the men played a role in our wedding. The men in this house Brant still considers to be is closest friends, and it is such a blessing that they have all remained in touch with each other. Distance has certainly taken everyone all over the place, particularly when we decided to pick up and move clear across the country!! But, distance has no hold on this group of friends. :) The evening's attendees also included all spouses, girlfriends and children, so there ended up being 14 in all! It was a fantastic night!

Brant, with Tim, Graham and Glendon when we first arrived.Maddie and Isla (2 months younger), reunite, not even aware they have ever met before. Maddie was immediately drawn to Isla's cheerios, while Isla wasn't too sure what Maddie was about to pull. I'm sure they'll be great friends for life! :) Sharing mealtime together is fun!Brant, reading a book to Maddie and Andrew. :)Playing a fun game, which caused some pretty priceless moments and big belly laughs! The men recreating a past memory...I won't explain.Glendon and Kaytee (from Ogden, UT).Barney and Nikki (from Albany, OR).Graham and Kelsie (from Kirkland, WA).
Lori and Andrew (from Boulder Creek, CA).
And our hosts, Tim and Ashley (from Battleground, WA).We had a night full of laughs, good food, funny games, and wonderful memories. We couldn't have asked for a more special time together.
