Fall evening activities

The weather was delightful and picturesque on Thursday evening.  The kids and Brant like to take the bikes out along the canal behind our house (when the weather allows for it), while I am fixing dinner.  This time, I was convinced to join them, camera in hand, and I am glad I did!  What a beautiful place this is.

Maddie rode a "balance bike" last year in Pasadena.  Now she is learning to ride a big girl bike - we are still on the fence about putting training wheels on it.  Her favorite feature?  The pink princess basket up front. :)

She's learning to ride without Daddy holding the handlebar!  Pretty soon, she'll be a pro like the rest of the kids out here!
