Maddie had a big fashion show at her school yesterday! The class has been studying the color red, or "rood," for several weeks, and the culmination of all their learning was put into a final project performance - in this case, a fashion show!
We heard about the show only two days ago, hoping we had the translation of time and location accurate. Maddie excitedly told us that she had a costume to wear for "the big show," and she would be fashioning the American flag. For several reasons, we were anxious to see her show. :)

We are so happy with Maddie's school experience here. And we are thrilled with how well she is settling in. The environment is engaging, exciting, colorful, purposeful and fun. This next week, the school is on holiday, and Maddie was not happy to hear that she couldn't go to school at all next week (neither was Mommy - ha!).
Wish she was on holiday the following week! But, it will be great to see her school.
