We're off to Princeton!

Hello, Everyone.

Here we go! We left Portland, OR yesterday morning (Wednesday), to start our great trek east. If you know me well, this was not an easy thing for me to do. The tears came flowing all day/night long, and who knows when they'll start up again. I miss my family more than I can express, but I am talking with them regularly which really helps me out. I love you all and miss you.

I will post pictures eventually, but for now, words will have to do.

We took off from my parents' house at 9:30 yesterday morning. After 3 stops (imagine that! I think that's pretty darn good with a 2 month old!), and a time change, we made it to Boise, Idaho about 7:30pm. We had a late dinner, I talked with some family, and we hit the sack around 11:00 (our time). We're up and getting ready to leave soon. It is WAY to early for me...I'm quite exhausted, as my body is emotionally drained, my eyes hurt from crying, the time zone does no good for me and I was up nursing in the middle of the night - I'm tired! Go figure. But we have a shorter day today. Our destination: Ogden, Utah. We will be staying with our good friends, Glendon and Kaytee (yay!), and we look forward to a leisure afternoon/evening with them.

I will hopefully get to post more later on. But for now, this will have to do.

Thank you for your prayers - I am coveting each of them right now. And thank you for your constant love and support. I promise my future posts won't all be slight "downers". :) Thank you for letting me be real. Give us a call while we're on the road this week! We won't be at our final destination until next Wednesday. We look forward to hearing from you!

Love, Jackie

  1. Thinking of you, Brant and Maddie as you trek far away from home and family! Such an adventure... but definitely an emotional one. Praying for your safety and for God's guidance through this big adjustment! Hope you have good days of traveling as a family!
