Atlantic Ocean

We went to the beach today! We took a day trip out with our neighbors and their 8 year old daughter (the same family I am doing respite care for). It was fun to go with other people for this little excursion. This was the first trip we have taken that is further than 20 minutes from our home, and we didn't get lost once! Hooray! Perhaps we can find our way around this crazy state!

Anyway, we had a great time! We waded in the ocean a bit. The water was luke warm, but much warmer than the Pacific Ocean. The houses out here are far different than the beach houses on the west coast. They were beautifully built and painted, very ornate and almost victorian looking. The weather wasn't bad, considering a storm has moved in tonight. All in all it was a fun little trip and we both feel confident about making it out there again when visitors come to town. So come on out!

  2. WOW...there is NO one there. I guess that is somewhat similar to the Oregon Coast, whereas, in Santa Cruz there are people everywhere..little different. LOVE YOU!

  3. This is called Bradley Beach, right next to Asbury Park. It wasn't crowded because it wasn't too warm, I suppose. These east-coasterners are not used to making treks to the beach in mild 65 degree weather, which is why it wasn't crowded! :) We were quite comfortable, to say the least!
